UIU Mars Rover Team Secures 3rd Position Globally at URC 2026

The UIU Mars Rover Team under the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR) at United International University achieved a historic milestone by securing 3rd place globally and 1st in Asia at the University Rover Challenge (URC) 2026 held in Utah, USA.
Competing at the Mars Desert Research Station, the team successfully executed complex rover missions placing Bangladesh firmly on the global space robotics map.
This marks a first in URC history an Asian team reaching the physical global podium while also extending UIU’s streak as Asia’s top-ranked team for five consecutive years (2022–2026).
Backed by sustained institutional support and United Group’s long-term investment in advanced research, the achievement underscores how Bangladeshi innovation when empowered leads on the world stage.
