With experience in reciprocating engine power plants, United Group is moving towards a more efficient and environment friendly powerplant setup. To attain this goal, united group’s latest venture is United Chattogram Power Limited (UCPL), where the company is going to establish a 590 MW CCPP which can run both on Natural Gas and LNG. At its core is the country’s largest power plant with H-Class Gas Turbine in single shaft design to be established. The bringing of new and efficient technology got highly appreciated from BPDB as it will be a milestone for others to follow. United Group has always been a pioneer in bringing new technology to the power sector, notably our portfolio consists of the first barge mounted power plant and first modular power plant in Bangladesh. Signing of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), Implementation Agreement (IA), Gas Supply Agreement (GSA) with respective bodies of the government has already been set in stone. Land has already been acquired and the project is now ongoing.
