Today, as we celebrate the 49th Foundation Day of United Group, I feel a deep sense of gratitude and pride.

Forty-nine years is more than just a milestone. It is the story of a vision that began in 1978 and grew through hard work,
trust, and the dedication of countless people. From Energy and Healthcare to Real Estate, Education, and beyond, our goal has always been simple—to create value for people and contribute to the progress of our country.

Our greatest strength has always been our people. Every achievement we celebrate today is the result of your commitment, integrity, and teamwork. I thank each one of you for being part of this journey.

As we prepare to enter our Golden Jubilee next year, let us renew our commitment to the values that have guided us from the beginning—Integrity, Innovation, and Impact. Let us continue to grow with purpose, act with responsibility, and work together to build a stronger future for the United Group and for Bangladesh.

On this special occasion, I pay my deepest respect to our Founder and express my sincere gratitude to our leadership, employees, clients, partners, and stakeholders for their trust and support throughout these 49 years.

As we celebrate 49 years of United Group, I feel both grateful and optimistic. This journey has been shaped by the dedication of our people, the trust of our customers, and the values we have upheld from the very beginning.

We have always believed in doing the right thing with confidence. Whatever we have committed to, we have delivered with sincerity, responsibility, and integrity. These principles have been the foundation of our progress.

As we look ahead to our Golden Jubilee, let us remain true to the values that have guided us throughout our journey. We must continue to act with honesty, honour our commitments, and take responsibility for everything we do.

Our country is passing through a period of transition. Such times call for patience, resilience, and preparedness. I am confident that the economic outlook will improve, and when it does, we must be ready to embrace new opportunities with the same conviction and determination that have always defined United Group.

The future will bring new challenges, but it will also bring new possibilities. If we face them with integrity, commitment, and a shared sense of purpose, I am confident that United Group will continue to grow and reach even greater milestones.

Before delving into our future, let’s acknowledge our humble beginnings. United Group was born out of a dream in 1979, evolving into a passion for excellence and value creation for all stakeholders. Over the last 47 years, we have pioneered innovative solutions across power, energy, healthcare, education, retail, and services, consistently adding efficiency and value.

We have suffered the immense loss of our beloved Director, Nasiruddin Akhter Rashid. Nasiruddin, who embodied the traits of diligence, commitment, and the courage to speak the truth no matter the circumstances. That is what each of us should try to emulate: to work with complete dedication, uphold our commitments, and always stand for the truth, regardless of the challenges we face.

Our exceptional teams are the pillars of United Group’s success. I deeply value each member for their dedication and passion, and I extend my gratitude to their families for their continuous support. I also appreciate our customers, partners, and stakeholders for their trust and collaboration. Together, we will continue to create new benchmarks, strive for excellence, and keep creating positive impact for the nation.

Despite challenges, we are emerging stronger and more focused than ever. Together, we’ve embraced innovation, set new standards, and pioneered new frontiers.

Our success is built on our exceptional team-the core of United Group. I am grateful to each member for their dedication and passion, and their families for their unwavering support and understanding. I extend my appreciation to our customers, partners, and stakeholders for their trust and collaboration. Together, we will continue to surpass expectations, strive for excellence and make a positive difference in the nation.

Assalamu Alaikum.

In the graceful light of our Creator, I congratulate you all to be united for the 45^th year of this institution. May our collective humility fall under His merciful watch.

As we ride the waves of time, we must segment our lives into small, manageable periods of self-evaluations, education, and application. Let us reaffirm those same values that brought us blessings and successes through ever-shifting tides.

As a business establishment, we must always value business goals over operational excellence. Excellence is surely the fuel to the engine of success, but goals drive the vehicle. As a unit, we never compromise our brand value, operational excellence, and commitment for our actions, just as we never compromise regulatory compliances for our goals. Only a balanced approach without tunnel vision can stand the test of time. We must never be so tunneled and caught up in the comfort zone of our designated role that we fail to seek challenges. It is the brilliance of our imperfections when we tackle new challenges that light our path ahead. To err is human, and the acknowledgment of the mistakes we make along that path only make those challenges easier to bear. Acknowledging our weaknesses and striving to mitigate it is where strength lies. 

Business goals may change with time, but values remain. Our establishment has never been stagnant in its stride, and we must always sustain its adaptive capacity. Our esteemed superiors and their diligent subordinates must not only participate in harmonious coexistence but also a symbiotic relationship of trust, integrity, and dependency. Regardless of how little or big the contribution may be, each participant must take full ownership of their position. Allah SWT has graced our establishment so that we remain free of stress from financial constraints and bureaucratic setbacks. This sets us up perfectly in the position to be devising bold, new strategies for seizing new opportunities. By the grace of Almighty we have survived COVID-19, and with His mercy we shall continue to rise above many such trials as long as we manage to adapt and stay ahead of the curve. We should try to be a family and help each other at times of need. United we stay strong, happy, and peaceful. Focusing on the quality of life, not only for ourselves or our stakeholders, but for the country as a whole. 

May we find strength in our conviction, purpose in our step, and self-actualization in our perspectives. May the United family remain a united family.
