On February 17th, 2023, Wellbeing Pharmacy held its annual day out for all employees, including those who work at the various outlets and those who work at the head office. The day was filled with activities and fun, as everyone gathered to celebrate the achievements of the past year and look forward to the future.

The day began with an energizing breakfast, where everyone had a chance to mingle and catch up with colleagues from other locations. This helped to foster a sense of teamwork and collaboration among the employees.

After the team-building exercise, we had Inter outlet cricket match where had found our champion and runners up outlet.

Following the cricket match, everyone gathered back, then we had musical chair game for our female colleague and guest.

The highlight of the day was the complimentary food that was provided for all attendees. The food was delicious, and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to sit down and socialize with their colleagues.

In addition to the activities and food, the day provided an opportunity for employees to connect with their colleagues and build relationships that extend beyond the workplace. The annual day out is an important event in the Wellbeing Pharmacy calendar, and it helps to foster a positive company culture and a sense of community among its employees.

We had raffle draw only for our outlet colleagues. where the Ten lucky winners got many lucrative gifts, which includes Family buffet dinner, crookery item and many more. We also had gift sponsorship from Ribana organic.

We had our honorable CEO sir there to give his valuable speech to guide all the employees of United Pharma and Healthcare Ltd. for life as well as for career goals and moral. With the resourceful speech of the CEO the Annual Day Out 2023 has concluded.

As the day drew to a close, everyone left feeling energized and inspired, ready to tackle the challenges of the coming year. Wellbeing Pharmacy is proud of its employees and the work they do every day to provide exceptional service to their customers. The annual day out is a small way to show appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

Focusing on the amazing development and progress of the country, this year’s Uniting Dreams Season 3 Staff Photography Contest’s theme is ‘Scenes From Bangladesh’ that will highlight the beauty of any corner of this country.

The competition started from August 1, 2022 and will end on September 15, 2022. A Panel of judges, consisting of renowned photographs and art critics, will be conducting the selection procedure.

What is the prize?

  1. Winner and the two runner ups will receive DSLR Cameras
  2. Best 13 photographs will receive special crest from the Chairman and Managing Director and their photos will be highlighted in the United Group yearly calendar 2023.
  3. All participants will receive recognition certificates from the Chairman and Managing Director.
  4. Most engaging team/business unit will receive dinner coupon worth BDT 50,000

All power plants of United Group celebrate World Environment Day through tree plantation and awareness programs across Bangladesh.

United College of Nursing (UCN) Basic B.Sc. Nursing 4th-year students’ Final examination under Dhaka University has been published. We are delighted to inform that the students have achieved outstanding results.

A total of 35 students from this batch have all passed and additionally, six of our students have ranked within the top 10 positions. Chronologically 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th and 8th position.

Mr. Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury, MP, the Honorable Deputy Minister, Ministry of Education, Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh was present as the Chief Guest. Prof. Dr. William Spady, Father of OBE and CEO of IN4OBE LLC, USA was present as the keynote speaker in the program.

Prof. Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed, the Hon’ble Chairman of Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC), Prof. Dr. A. F. M. Saiful Amin, the Hon’ble Chairman (acting) and Vice Chairman, Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE) of Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh were present as the Special Guests. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of UIU, Prof. Dr. Chowdhury Mofizur Rahman presided over the Ceremony.

Prof. Dr. Wajid Hossain, Board Member IN4OBE & Director, Quality Assurance, Islamic University of Madinah, KSA; Prof. Dr. Fong K. Mak, Board Member IN4OBE, USA and the other distinguished international speakers were present in the program. The vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Dr. Md. Motaharul Islam, Dept. of CSE, UIU and the program conducted by Prof. Dr. Hasan Sarwar, Dept. of CSE, UIU.

The Chief Guest said- “IN4OBE will further strengthen the education system and play an important role in improving the overall quality of education in Bangladesh”. OBE leaders and experts from the International Network for Outcome-Based Education (IN4OBE) were discussed the potentials and promises of these newer performance-based models in the Bangladesh education system.

Faculty members, academicians, accreditation specialists, officials at all levels of government and education, researchers and other distinguished guests from different universities in the home and abroad were present in the virtual program.

United International University observed the National Mourning Day-2021 marking the 46th martyrdom anniversary of the father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The Discussion Meeting and Du’a Mahfil were held virtually on August 25, 2021, at 7:30 PM.

Prof. Dr. Chowdhury Mofizur Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of UIU presided over the Discussion Meeting while Prof Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Musa, Professor – School of Business & Economics, Prof. Dr. Hamidul Huq, Dean – School of Humanities & Social Sciences and Director – Bangabandhu Study Centre and Dr. Md. Abu Saklayen, Professor -Institute of Natural Sciences (INS), and Proctor delivered their respective speech.

UIU Vice-Chancellor said- We have to work together to build a Sonar Bangla by learning from Bangabandhu’s life ideology. Lt. Col. Md. Fazlul Hoque (Retd.), Registrar (Acting) acted as the anchor of the programs, and Prof. Dr. Kawsar Ahmmed, Deputy Director – BBA Program conducted the Du’a Mahfil at the end of the discussion session.

The Treasurer, Faculty members, and Officials of the university were present at the virtual Discussion Meeting and Du’a Mahfil Program.

A celebration of World Heart Day in United House. For the betterment of healthcare, a complimentary heart camp was conducted for United Group employees. Here the employees of United Group received ECG, Blood Sugar Test, BP test, BMI checkup, Diet Counselling, and Free Doctor Consultancy.

The “Q3 Financial Performance Review” of United Power Generation & Distribution Company Ltd. (UPGDCL) was held on 19 April 2017 at Gulshan Centre Point, House No-23-26, Road-90, Gulshan-2, Dhaka 1212. The conference was inaugurated through the welcome speech of UPGD’s Chairman General Md. Abdul Mubeen, SBP, ndc, psc (Retd). 

Chairman of United Group & Director of UPGDCL Mr. Hasan Mahmood Raja, Managing Director of UPGDCL & United Group. Mr. Moinuddin Hasan Rashid, Senior Management Personnel of Capital Market and along with Journalist were present in this colorful event.

The 4th Convocation of United International University was held on 15 April, 2017, at UIU Permanent Campus (United City, Madani Avenue, Satarkul, Vatara, Dhaka). Hon’ble Education Minister, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid, MP, presided over the Ceremony while Prof. Abdul Mannan, Chairman, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh was present as the Special Guest. Prof. Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury, Vice Chancellor, University of Asia Pacific, was present as the Convocation speaker. The Ceremony was also addressed by Mr. Hasan Mahmood Raja, Chairman, Board of Trustees, United International University and Prof. Dr. M. Rezwan Khan, Vice-Chancellor, United International University.
 
Hon’ble Education Minister, Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid, MP, in his speech opined that the Private Universities must take measures to remove all the barriers in respect of imparting quality higher education in their own interest.  More sincere endeavors of the private universities are required to attain the desired goal. Congratulating the graduates, the Education Minister urged upon them to work for the interest of the common people.
 
A total of 1610 students from different disciplines were conferred undergraduate and graduate degrees while six meritorious students received Gold Medals for their excellent results.
 
Convocation Speaker Prof. Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury, congratulated the graduates who received their degrees in the 4th Convocation of this university on their achievement and wished them every success in the new world they are entering.
 
All Deans, heads of the departments, teachers, administrative staffs, journalists, educationists and Vice-Chancellors of different universities attended the convocation program.

UNIMART, one of the prominent concerns of United Group, has completed six years of its successfully providing the ultimate retail experience to its consumers on 4th July 2019. To mark the occasion, a Kids’ Art Competition was arranged by Unimart Ltd., in collaboration with Pentel. The event was held on 26th July 2019 (Friday) from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm & the venue for the event was Gulshan Center Point, Gulshan 2. Theme of the art competition was “CELEBRATION”.

The objective of this competition was to boost the creativity of children and inspire them to excel in their life. Through registration at prominent schools and Gulshan & Dhanmondi outlets of Unimart, more than 300 kids (aged between 6 & 11 years) registered for the event. Carefully screened 150 children got the chance to participate in the competition, among which, top 10 artworks were selected and awarded with certificates & exclusive gift hampers. Top 5 artworks received crests and a special honor. Top 5 artwork from the Kids’ Art Competition will be sent to be featured in the “PENTEL’S INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN ART EXHIBITION (ICAE)” at Japan combined with winning entries from around the world, which is very prestigious and awarding for the kids.

Pentel’s International Children’s Art Exhibition (ICAE), is an annual prestigious event held in Japan, which gives children an opportunity to express their creativity through paintings, drawings and collages. The intent of the event is to explore the vivid imagination of children. This year, tens of thousands of entries from children representing countries from around the world were submitted for judging at ICAE.

Ms. Machiko Yamamura, Head of Cultural Affairs, Embassy of Japan graced the event as Chief Guest & Mr. Yuji Ando, Country Representative, JETRO was present as Special Guest, during the prize giving ceremony. Mr. Malik Talha Ismail Bari, Director, United Group & Mr. Murtoza Zaman, CEO, Unimart Ltd. were also present during the event.
